runtime_error

Also written: std::runtime_error, std::domain_error, domain_error, exception

A standard C++ exception type thrown for problems found while a program is running, such as a cycle in a set of task rules or a missing file. A `catch` block can receive it and read its message with `what()`; more specific types such as `domain_error` let code tell one kind of problem from another.
