Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Ubidesk LLC ("we", "us", "our"), the company that runs FiftyPage at fiftypage.com. By creating an account, buying anything, or using the site, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

1. Who can use FiftyPage

You must be at least 13 years old to use FiftyPage. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and make any purchase for you.

2. Your account

Give us an email address you can access, keep your sign-in details private, and tell us at hello@fiftypage.com if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person.

3. What you get when you buy

FiftyPage sells individual books, learning paths and bundles. When you buy one, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• read its web edition, and use its quizzes, flashcards, practice and code examples, on any of your devices, while your account is open; and
• download its PDF and keep it for your own personal use.

A bundle includes the books described on its page at the time you buy, including future books if the page says so. Chapter 1 of every book is free to read without buying.

You may not share your account, or copy, resell, give away, publish or redistribute any book, PDF, quiz or other content, in whole or in part. You also may not use our content to build a competing product or a dataset, including for training AI models. Quoting short passages with credit, for example in a review, is fine.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars, plus any tax that applies. Stripe processes all payments. Prices can change, but a change never affects a purchase you have already made. When you buy a bundle or learning path, books you already own are taken off the price, as shown at checkout.

5. Refunds

Our Refund Policy explains when and how you can get a refund. When a purchase is refunded, your access to what you bought ends. If you open a chargeback or payment dispute, we may pause access to the purchase while the dispute is resolved, so please contact us first. We can usually sort it out faster.

6. Updates to the books

We regularly correct, update and improve books, quizzes, flashcards and other learning material, and you get these updates at no extra cost. We may stop selling a product. If we do, you keep access to what you bought for as long as we run FiftyPage. While your account is open, you can download the PDFs of books you own, and we recommend keeping a copy.

7. Code Playground and code examples

You can use the Code Playground without an account. Code you run there runs in your browser. Anyone with a share link can see the code in it, so don't put passwords, keys or private data in shared code. Don't use the Playground or the site to attack, overload or misuse any system. You own the code you write. Code examples in the books are for learning, and you may use them in your own projects. They are provided as-is, so test them before you rely on them.

8. Learning, not a guarantee

FiftyPage is for education. We work hard to make the books accurate and up to date, but we can't promise a particular result, such as a job, a grade or a certification. Technology changes quickly, so check the official documentation before you rely on something in production.

9. Our content

The books, PDFs, quizzes, flashcards, design and other content on FiftyPage belong to Ubidesk LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond the license in section 3. "FiftyPage" is our brand.

10. Things you must not do

Don't try to get around payment or access controls. Don't access the site with bots, scrapers or other automated tools, except normal search engine indexing. Don't probe or disrupt our systems, and don't use FiftyPage to break the law or to harm anyone.

11. Ending your account

You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing hello@fiftypage.com. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, for example by sharing paid content. Closing an account ends its access to purchases. Sections 3 (the limits on sharing), 8, 9 and 12 to 14 still apply after an account is closed.

12. Disclaimer

FiftyPage is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ubidesk LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about FiftyPage is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US $50. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

You agree to indemnify Ubidesk LLC against claims that arise from your misuse of FiftyPage or your breach of these terms.

14. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem, please email hello@fiftypage.com first. Most issues can be resolved quickly. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where Ubidesk LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be decided by the state or federal courts located in that state, except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll post a notice on the site or email you. If you keep using FiftyPage after a change, the new terms apply from then on.
