Bit operators

Also written: &, |, ^, !, <<, >>, shift left, shift right

Operators that work on each column of bits: `&` (and), `|` (or), `^` (XOR), `!` (not), and `<<` / `>>` that shift bits left or right. A shift left doubles a number and a shift right halves it.
