Retired algorithm
Also written: deprecated algorithm, retired algorithms
An algorithm or protocol no longer considered safe, such as MD5, SHA-1, DES, 3DES, RC4, SSL, TLS 1.0/1.1 or RSA-1024. Finding one in use is a cryptographic vulnerability to fix.
