Domain controller (DC)

Also written: DC

The server that runs a Windows (Active Directory) domain: it stores users, computers and OUs, checks sign-ins, and pushes Group Policy to domain-joined computers. Samba can also act as one, as in a lab DC at 192.168.20.5.
