Hash

Also written: SHA-256, sha256, hashlib, hash(), fingerprint, data fingerprint

A fingerprint of data that changes completely if even one byte changes. It can record exactly which data file a model was trained on, or assign customer IDs to groups (such as control and canary) consistently; Python's built-in `hash()` is unsuitable for this because its values change every time Python starts.
