KS statistic

Also written: KS, Kolmogorov-Smirnov, ks_2samp

The Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistic: the largest vertical gap between two samples' cumulative distributions, from 0 (identical) to 1 (no overlap). It measures how far a column's distribution has shifted, and its size is more informative than its p-value, which flags tiny differences as significant when samples are large.
