all-in-one router box

Also written: provider's box, office router box, home router

The small box an internet provider installs, which does many jobs at once: modem, small switch, Wi-Fi access point, NAT router, DHCP server, DNS resolver and firewall. A busy office often switches it to bridge mode and uses separate devices for the other jobs.
