subnet

Also written: subnets

A block of IP addresses that share a network prefix and form one LAN, such as Kettle & Crane's office subnet `192.168.20.0/26` or shop subnet `192.168.20.64/26`. Hosts in the same subnet reach each other directly, and traffic to other subnets goes through a router.
