generated column

Also written: GENERATED ALWAYS AS ... STORED

A column whose value Postgres computes itself from an expression on the row's other columns, every time the row is inserted or updated. A `STORED` generated column keeps the result on disk, for example a review's `tsvector` computed once so it can be indexed and searched.
