SSH (Secure Shell)

Also written: SSH, sshd, ssh2

The common encrypted remote login service on Linux, used to sign in to and manage machines over a network. Its server (`sshd`) logs lines such as `Failed password for sam from 203.0.113.66` and `Accepted password for jo from ...`, which analysts read to spot password guessing and unexpected sign-ins.
