Glossary: Security Architecture Models

Zero Trust

Also written: Zero Trust architecture

A security approach that never trusts a user or device just because of where it sits on the network, so every request is checked before access is allowed. It builds on network segmentation by checking each access request on its own, instead of trusting everything inside a segment.
