DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)

Also written: DHCP, DHCPOFFER, DHCPACK

The protocol that gives each new device an IP address, a gateway and a DNS server. In the lab, DHCPOFFER and DHCPACK lines showed which server handed out the address.
