A score that turns your raw exam points into a number on a fixed scale. CompTIA Security+ uses a scale of 100 to 900, uses a formula it does not publish, and sets 750 as the pass mark. Because a scaled score is not a percentage, you cannot convert 750 into a safe percentage, so a practice target of 85% gives you a clear margin.
