extortion

Also written: blackmail, personal extortion, DDoS extortion, data leak extortion

A motive: getting money or something else by threatening harm, usually with a deadline, as in 'pay $15,000 by Friday or we post your customer list'. Pick it over financial when a threat appears and extortion is one of the options.
