The tool that runs vulnerability scans and reports findings with CVE names, CVSS scores and fixes, such as Tenable Nessus, Greenbone OpenVAS, Qualys and Rapid7 InsightVM. It needs an up-to-date database of checks (plug-ins), or it misses new flaws.
