namespace

Also written: namespaces, PID namespace, UTS namespace, mount namespace, network namespace, user namespace

A kernel feature that gives a process its own private copy of one kind of resource: process numbers (pid), mounts (mnt), host name (uts), network (net) or user IDs (user).
