IdP (identity provider)

Also written: IdP, identity provider

The service that signs people in and tells other apps who they are, such as Microsoft Entra ID or Okta. With single sign-on, one weak IdP setting is weak everywhere, so check MFA, admins, legacy sign-in and recovery.
