Attestation

Also written: attestations, attest

A formal signed statement that something is true, usually that a business, system or vendor meets a requirement. A responsible officer or an independent auditor signs it, and it is usually given to outsiders, as when Morgan signs Kettle & Crane's PCI DSS AOC.
